Are you, or have you ever been, self-employed with a disability or a long-term health condition?

IPSE is supporting research carried out by IFF Research and the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), aimed at understanding more about the experiences of self-employed disabled people, or those who have a long-term health condition (including those who have been self-employed in the past).

The research is intended to ascertain and understand the barriers faced by this group, and the ideal support, advice or assistance that would help them to start, grow or maintain a business.

What does the research involve?

If you are a disabled person or have a health condition and are – or have been previously – self-employed, IFF would like to interview you.

The interviews – which should take between 45 minutes and one hour – will be carried out in person (unless you would prefer a telephone interview) by friendly and impartial interviewers from IFF Research.

All participants will receive £20 as a thank you via cheque, PayPal or voucher.

This research will be completely confidential – the DWP will not know who has taken part, and IFF Research will not pass on your details to the DWP or any other organisations.

Participation in this important research is entirely voluntary and will not affect any benefits or tax credits you are claiming – either now or in the future.

What next?

If you would like to take part in the research, or know more about it, please email [email protected], or call 0800 035 6059.
