With practical advice, stories from successful freelancers and a networking reception, it’s designed to give aspiring freelancers the best start possible to their careers.

Held at Tramshed Tech in Cardiff on Wednesday 3 April, the event will run from 5 to 8pm and is open to any interested students.

The speakers will be:

  • Luan Wise, Marketing Consultant
  • Shaunnah Crosbie, Founder of ‘Shaunnah’s So Crafty’
  • Ian Campodonic, currently Creative Director at Go Compare and former freelancer
  • Jessica Morgan, Director, Designer, Illustrator at Jessica Draws
  • Bradley Channer, Director of Acceler8me
  • Rebecca Willey, Deputy Head of Education and Training, IPSE

IPSE’s Deputy Head of Education Rebecca Willey commented: “At IPSE, we work to help and support not only existing freelancers and contractors – but also the next generation of the self-employed.

“Freelancing can be an amazing career. Not only does it give you the freedom and flexibility to live your life how you want:  often, it can even be more lucrative than 9-5 employee work.

“So, whether you’re studying something that usually leads to self-employment or are just interested in finding out where freelancing can take you, join us for what promises to be a very fun evening.”
