IPSE Awards 2020

Nominations now open!

The search is now on for the UK’s best and brightest freelancers along with all the organisations and individuals supporting the world of freelancing. 

Freelancing deserves celebrating, and that’s why IPSE’s awards, now running in their sixth year, have been championing and rewarding innovation and excellence in the freelance community as part of the wide celebrations for our annual flagship event, National Freelancers Day.

To complete a nomination, please select the Award category, click on the link and complete the online nomination form.  You can save the form as required when filling it in and return to it at a later time.  Applicants will be judged on a range of criteria including the strength of their portfolio, their passion and commitment to freelancing, business acumen and creativity and the distinctiveness of their offering.  The deadline for all nominations is Friday 13 March

Award Categories

Freelancer of the Year complete the nomination form.  £5000 cash prize for the winner, £2000 for the runner-up.

IPSE is searching for the most talented self-employed people in the UK that 26 or over to enter our IPSE Freelancer of the Year Award.  This award is designed to recognise and celebrate the innovation and excellence of freelancers in the UK.

Freelancing Project of the Yearcomplete the nomination form. £1500 cash prize for the winner.

This awards celebrates specific successful freelancer projects rather than the business as a whole.  You do not have to be freelancing full time, it can be part of a side hustle business alongside full-time work or studying – but it must be a project and not a person.  Examples could include an event, a particularly successful client project, campaign, fundraiser or other piece of work.

IPSE is searching for the most talented self-employed people in the UK that have, in under two years, launched their own successful business. This award is about celebrating the achievements of freelancers who have only recently taken the brave step of working for themselves.

Young Freelancer of the Year complete the nomination form.  £3000 cash prize for the winner.

IPSE is searching for the most talented self-employed people in the UK that are 25 or under to enter our IPSE Freelancer of the Year Award. This award is about celebrating the achievements of people who made the jump into freelancing at an early age and are already making a success of it.

Ambassador of the Year complete the nomination form.

The IPSE Ambassador of the Year Award demonstrates the ambassador’s dedication to supporting freelancing and the self-employed. The award is based on the ambassador’s development of events and activities to support the self-employed and their contribution to the wider community of self-employed professionals.

Co-Working Space of the Yearcomplete the nomination form.

If you would like to nominate your co-working space for our award, please fill out the form. Please note if you co-working space is shortlisted, then a member of our team will be in touch to arrange a site visit for judging.

Prizes and Judging Day

There will be prize money up for grabs with the individual awards.  All finalists will also win a range of industry-leading business support prizes, as well as one-year IPSE membership.

Please note any shortlisted finalists for the individual awards only will also need to attend a Judging Day which will take place on Thursday 7 May 2020 at RISE London.  Further details will be sent to you upon confirmation of being shortlisted.

Awards Ceremony

The winners will then be announced at our Award ceremony in June in London featuring entertainment, networking and drinks.  Further details of the Awards ceremony will be announced soon. In 2020, IPSE will also be 21 years old so the ceremony will be bigger and better with more to celebrate!
