On Thursday 17 November the Chancellor will deliver his first Budget. The fiscal event will bookend what has been a tumultuous two months of policy decisions, U-turns, endless speculation and dramatic changes of personnel at the very top of government. Rumours have been deliberately leaked by the Treasury that tax rises are on the way and that spending will be cut. IPSE will be watching the Budget closely for any mention of dividend tax hikes, changes to Entrepreneurs’ Relief rules and of course IR35 (though no further change is expected).
The following day IPSE’s Director of Policy, Andy Chamberlain, will host a virtual meeting of members. Join us to hear our reaction to the Budget and have your say on what it will mean for you and your business.
