Director membership is designed for self-employed individuals who want full peace of mind across their working life, with comprehensive cover and structured support in place for a wide range of scenarios. Rather than focusing on one specific type of risk, it brings together financial protection, expert advice and practical support in one package.
The aim is to provide the highest level of protection available within membership, so that members have support in place whether issues relate to income, contracts, compliance or wider business disruption.
Director membership includes illness and injury cover up to £2,000 and jury service cover up to £5,000.
This provides financial support if you are unable to work due to illness, accident or jury service, helping to maintain income stability during periods where normal working activity is interrupted.
Contract failure cover up to £1,000 is also included. This provides support where contracted work is disrupted, reduced or not delivered as expected. It also includes protection where an end client or agency fails, helping to reduce the financial impact of non-payment or sudden loss of work.
Tax investigation cover up to £100,000 is also included. This provides support with the costs associated with HMRC enquiries, including professional representation where required.
Together, these protections provide cover across both contractual disruption and tax related investigations, helping to address some of the more significant financial risks faced in self-employed work.
Members have access to tax and legal helplines for guidance on contracts, compliance and wider business related questions.
This support is available throughout the membership period and is designed to provide clear, practical advice when situations require specialist input.
A dedicated account manager is also available to help direct you to the appropriate support service when needed.
This ensures that queries are routed efficiently, whether they relate to advice, cover or claims, and helps provide clarity on where to go when support is required.
Director membership includes free IR35 contract reviews.
This provides an assessment of contract structure before agreement, helping members understand how a contract is set up in relation to employment status and potential risk considerations.
It is typically used prior to entering new contractual arrangements.
Membership includes access to events, peer-to-peer sessions, mentoring opportunities and the Community Hub.
These provide opportunities to connect with other self-employed individuals and professionals, share experience and discuss areas such as contracts, pricing and working practices.
Mentoring and peer engagement also provide space to sense check decisions and learn from others in similar situations.
All services included within Director membership are available throughout the membership period.
This includes ongoing access to advice and our many templates and resources as part of our Business Hub.
Our campaigning focuses on the issues that most affect day-to-day working lives. That includes fairer tax rules, clearer employment status, an end to long and unfair payment terms, and better protections around parental pay and support when things go wrong.
