IPSE advice on the aggressive HMRC letters to GSK contractors
HMRC’s recent letters to people who have contracts with GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) about their employment status (IR35) have caused widespread alarm amongst contractors and freelancers. The aggressive tone of these letters is clearly very unsettling for contractors and we have criticised HMRC in the national press with stories in both the Times and the Financial Times.
