IPSE's new memberships for Sole Traders

For many years IPSE's membership levels have focused on those who own their own Limited Companies and although for a long time we offered a membership level for sole traders we withdrew that some time back as we didn't feel it was quite right for them.

Today, we launched two new membership levels designed specifically for sole traders. Until recently the Exchquer has largely left taxation of sole traders as it always was - relatively clear and simple. But the attempt last April to increase National Insurance Contributions on sole traders, which was thwarted by very strong lobbying by IPSE, gave us all a huge warning that they were to become the next target for Government. So, we set to work finding out just what problems IPSE could help with and the result is our two new membership levels designed just for sole traders - although they're also pretty good for those who work through umbrella companies too.
