IPSE is delighted to announce a landmark partnership with leading professional services provider Optionis, whereby its eligible contractors will benefit from a range of IPSE’s industry-leading membership services.

As part of the agreement, contractors using either Optionis Group’s ClearSky Contractor Accounting, SJD Accountancy or Nixon Williams companies, will benefit from IPSE’s membership offerings including:

  • Free tax and legal helplines;
  • Compensation for sickness, injury and jury service;
  • Cover for temporary or permanent disablement or death;
  • Comprehensive tax representation services of up to £75,000 per claim;
  • £5,000 complimentary life assurance whilst a valid member;
  • Access to discounted group rates for pensions and life assurance;
  • Free events, networking, discounted training via IPSE Academy, and IPSE Rewards with thousands of money-saving offers.

The partnership will also see the organisations collaborate on initiatives and events to support the contracting community.

Chris Bryce, IPSE CEO, commented: “Now numbering 4.8 million, the self-employed contribute £271 billion to the UK economy every year and give the labour market its greatest competitive advantage: flexibility. In making self-employment both a viable and attractive career for even more people we endeavour to provide them with the same benefits and securities as employees.

“Therefore, our new partnership with Optionis extends the benefits of IPSE membership to thousands of new contractors and furthers our goal of providing a supportive platform for the self-employed. In welcoming Optionis users into IPSE’s membership, we are also ensuring that the collective voice of self-employment is ever more prominent in the corridors of power.”

Derek Kelly, Chief Executive Officer of Optionis Group, added: “This is a unique partnership that brings together the scale and size of Optionis and IPSE to benefit the contractor community. We will be the only group in the market to provide complementary IPSE membership, which will add significant value to contractors at no extra cost.

“One of the main concerns contractors face is not being able to work for reasons such as illness. These benefits will provide thousands of contractors with the same peace of mind that fulltime employees enjoy, while retaining all the advantages of contracting.”
