National Freelancers Day
National Freelancers Day is IPSE’s biggest event of the year – a celebration of all things freelance, and an opportunity for self-employed people across the country to look to the year ahead.
Hi, I’m Faye – I’ve had the honor of putting together the main speaker programme for National Freelancers Day. As an IPSE member myself and having hosted several NFD fringe events, it’s been a real joy to work alongside the main team and bring to you the speaker line up.
We’re digital again this year and absolutely packed with speakers, value and content. There are three main streams; Money Matters, Marketing Yourself and (brand new for 2022) Community & Values. As freelancers we spend a lot of time craving our space and working alone, which is why this year, we’re looking at the importance of your community. We go into it in more depth, when we’re joined on the speaker panel by Zoe Whitman, Jenny Stallard & Nadine Campell on ‘Building a community through your business’.
And just because it’s online, doesn’t mean you’re missing out on making connections! We’ve got two networking sessions running throughout lunch, where you can join ‘What makes your freelancing space work?’ or ‘I know I’m procrastinating when…’ for some open, honest, fun, facilitated, freelance networking sessions. What’s your favourite thing to do, when you know you really ought to be tackling the ‘to do’ list?
There are competitions, expert advice, opportunities to book 1-2-1s ahead of the day (hint- make sure you download the app in plenty of time, so you can book your slots in!) and even a chance to compile the ultimate freelancers playlist!
National Freelancers Day never fails to deliver. It’s fun, buzzy, informative, ethical and honest. It’s Christmas Day for freelancers, from the convenience of your own home. So make sure you’re part of it.
