IPSE’s first one member, one vote Director elections: make your voice heard

2020 was a year like no other for the UK and the self-employed, on whom the financial impact of the pandemic fell especially hard. And now, more than ever, IPSE is the voice of the self-employed in the crucial debates brought on by this crisis – from support for the self-employed to the future of contractor taxation.

As IPSE navigates these issues, the role of the Board is crucial in setting strategy, providing leadership and guidance to the organisation and overseeing how we are run. In our Director elections this year, we are looking to find two new Directors to join the Board.

The Board has identified a need for these two Elected Directors in order to increase the size of the Board, to bring in strong skills and experience at a time of challenge and, of course, to provide continuity and succession planning options for the future.

And, to involve you more than ever in IPSE, this is our first election where every member can vote for who these Directors will be.

The first stage

Thank you to everyone who nominated themselves in the first stage of our elections. We had our largest-ever response and many extremely impressive nominations.

After careful evaluation and interviews, our Nominations Committee has identified a shortlist of strong candidates with excellent and varied credentials. That means now, the selection is up to you, our members.

How the voting works

Voting for the Director elections opens on Monday 15th February 2021 and closes on 25th February.

If you’re eligible to vote, on Monday 15th, you will receive an email from CES (who are running the elections for us) with a unique voting link. Simply click this link to find out about the candidates and cast your vote.

Vote, and shape the future of the UK’s only dedicated voice for the self-employed.
