Mr Kay, who entered the world of freelancing as a writer and comedian after leaving the NHS, will close NFD at Kings Place on June 20 with what promises to be a hilarious and eye-opening account of his journey from medicine into the world of freelancing.

To celebrate the announcement, super early bird tickets are on sale at a discounted price for the rest of November. Premium tickets – which, in addition to NFD, include entrance to the exclusive 2019 IPSE Awards ceremony and a champagne reception on Thursday 13 June – are also available at a price of £55. Attendees will have the chance to meet Adam and receive a signed copy of his book.

Chris Bryce, IPSE’s CEO, commented: “This year’s NFD, which was by far the most impressive yet, saw us nominated for the ‘best all-round event experience’ at the 2018 EventLAB Awards.

“NFD is all about celebrating and supporting freelancers in the UK and 2019’s event promises to be bigger and better than ever before. So, by already securing a keynote speaker of the calibre of Adam Kay, we have begun what I’m sure will culminate in another hugely successful event.

“Demand for tickets is already high, so wherever you are in your freelance journey, book your tickets soon to avoid disappointment!”
