This seminar is hosted by CIPR North West in partnership with IPSE. The evening is designed to highlight and advise on the latest challenges that face freelancers and the self-employed.

The speaker line up:

During the event you will hear from you will hear from IPSE Policy Development Manager, Jordan Marshall, about the implications of the new IR35 regulation which came into effect last May.

Media Law guru Steve Kuncewicz, a partner at Berryman Lace Mawer, will demystify the myths and reality surrounding the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which comes into effect next year. This will change the way businesses can collect, use and transfer personal data.

Rob Morbin, the CIPR’s Head of Engagement, will talk about the importance of building and harnessing the CIPR’s 10,000-strong network through groups and events. 

Paul Wilkinson will introduce the CIPR's  new Independent Sector Group.

CIPR North West committee member Bridget Batty, owner of Limetree PR and PRide finalist for this year's “Outstanding Independent Practitioner” award, will share her experiences and highlight some of the pitfalls of going it alone.

This event is aimed at CIPR members and non-members alike. If you work in PR, be it in-house or agency, this event offers a great opportunity not only to hear from experienced PR professionals, but also to meet other PRs from the region and find out more about the work of the CIPR North West community.
